Job Details
Bratney is seeking a Milling Sales Leader to own commercial growth across the North American wheat, oat, and rice milling markets. This role will own the milling sales strategy and revenue plan, with a primary focus on expanding relationships with major corporate and multinational milling companies and growing adoption of Bratney’s proprietary equipment and complete milling solutions.
The Milling Sales Leader will identify and develop opportunities ranging from equipment sales and modernization projects to plant expansions and new milling facilities. This individual will work directly with customers and coordinate Bratney’s sales, product management, engineering, project development, and other resources to successfully pursue and close major opportunities.
This is a highly strategic, customer-facing role with significant responsibility for revenue growth, pipeline development, strategic account penetration, and market expansion.
Responsibilities

Own and execute Bratney’s annual milling sales plan and revenue targets.

Develop and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline and accurate sales forecasts.

Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at major corporate and multinational milling companies.

Develop strategic account plans and identify upcoming capital investments, expansions, modernization initiatives, and equipment replacement opportunities.

Lead major milling opportunities from initial customer engagement through contract award.

Drive sales and market adoption of Bratney’s proprietary milling equipment and complete processing solutions.

Develop opportunities that incorporate multiple Bratney product lines and capabilities when appropriate.

Coordinate with Product Management, Project Development, Engineering, Sales, and other internal resources to develop competitive customer solutions.

Identify opportunities requiring broader engineering, construction, or design-build services and engage Bratney’s Project Development team early in the process.

Maintain ownership of the customer relationship and commercial strategy throughout the project development process.

Develop Bratney’s presence and reputation within the North American milling industry.

Build relationships with industry organizations, consultants, engineering firms, and other key influencers.

Represent Bratney at industry conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and technical events.

Monitor market trends, competitive activity, capital investment, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.

Serve as the commercial leader for Bratney’s milling market and support the broader sales organization with milling expertise.
- Lead and oversee the internal milling team in support of sales and business objectives.
Requirements
Skills/Abilities
-
Significant experience in the milling, grain processing, food processing, or related capital equipment industry.

Strong knowledge of wheat, oat, rice, or related milling processes.

Demonstrated success selling complex capital equipment, processing systems, or engineered solutions.

Experience developing relationships with large corporate or multinational customers.

Ability to effectively engage with executive leadership, engineering, operations, procurement, and plant-level personnel.

Strong commercial judgment and experience managing and negotiating significant capital opportunities.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate resources without direct reporting authority.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to balance long-term strategic business development with accountability for near-term sales results.

Experience working with international manufacturers or suppliers is a plus.

Comfortable in industrial settings like grain mills and food processing plants; able to travel up to 40-50%, including some overnight travel.
- Strong PC skills, including Excel, CRM software, and Outlook.
Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred in milling, agricultural, business, sales, or a related field preferred.
•7-10 years of sales and business growth strategy in milling industry preferred.
